Puzzle Garden #6 Solutions
Any Way You Can
Since all you had to do was get rid of the Morse Code Poet- without destroying your own site in the process- you'd think it was pretty easy. Of course, not all factions have easy access to spot removal. Following is at least one solution for each faction.
Ultimately, four methods were used amongst the following cards- spot removal, redirecting the damage back to itself, damaging the Morse Code Poet, or blanking its text.
Architects: Arcanovirus, Nerve Gas, Overzealous Assassins, and several others.
Ascended: Cry of the Forgotten Ancestor
Dragons: Equal Opportunity Butt Kicking
Hand: Robust Feng Shui
Jammers: Safety Third!
Monarchs: Dark Sacrifice, Thunder in the West
Lotus: Hypnotized!
Purists: Entropy Sphere
Seven Masters: Monkey Fools the Tiger
Syndicate: Reprogramming
Numbers Game
You do not have enough fighting to simply make a brute force attack, using your denial to take out interceptors. The trick lies in the Combat Engineer.
Step 1: Attack the Rust Garden with Prudence Nightingale and General Gog.
Step 2: Turn the Napalm Belcher, targeting the Rust Garden's location. In response, turn the Combat Engineer to reduce the damage your Napalm Belcher deals by 1. Prudence is now 6 fighting. Gog is now 8. Tim's characters have 3, 3, 5, and 15 fighting. The Rust Gardens has 6 body left. The Maze of Stairs has 1 body left.
Step 3: Spend 2 power to play Math Bomb. You have 1 power remaining. The Combat Engineer, and all of Tim's characters are smoked.
Step 4: Use Tactics on General Gog to have him stop attacking. He unturns.
Step 5: Prudence enters combat with the Rust Gardens, reducing it to 0 body. Burn for Victory. All your remaining sites take 2 damage. You need one more site to win.
Step 6: Spend 1 power to play Purist Aspirant or Test Subjects. You have no power remaining.
Step 7: Attack the Maze of Stairs with General Gog and the character you played during step 6. You reduce it to 0 body. Burn for Victory. You win the game.
It is not possible to win the game without playing Math Bomb in this manner. If you Belch against Tim's characters (even if you increase the damage to 3), then attack with Prudence and Gog, Tim can intercept Prudence with Desolation, dealing 4 damage, and forcing you to either use Entropy Sphere and remove one of your Feng Shui sites from play, or force you to use Gog to take the Rust Garden, and the Maze of Stairs will be destroyed. If you don't Napalm Belch, you won't have enough fighting to punch through, even with your removal events, which are only useful on the Abysmal Horrors- if you smoke the Walker of the Purple Twilight with an Entropy Sphere, the Rust Garden will later smoke your damage site.
