Just a reminder folks, it's proving ground time and that means points for everyone!
For those new to scene, a Proving Ground League is a massive series of events lasting 13 weeks with a tournament each week. We encourage a diversity of formats and you've got 13 opportunities to bring out the weirdness!
As of right now, there are 4 separate Proving Grounds being conducted in various major cities. Here they are:
Jackson, Michigan; currently in week 10. Point of contact: Greg Zimmerman, suong.xa@gmail.com
Seattle, Washington; currently in week 2. Point of contact: Peter Smits, thestinkypete@gmail.com
Ithaca, New York; currently in week 2. Point of contact: Asif Chaudhry, asif.i.chaudhry@gmail.com
San Antonio, Texas; currently in week 5. Point of contact: Daniel Griego, icediadem@yahoo.com
If you're in any of these areas, stop by for some great throw downs. If you're getting ready to start one up, let me know so that I can supply your group with promos for prizes.
Some great formats to try during your Proving Ground:
Final Brawl: standard deck construction
Comrades in Arms: 23 cards in each deck must share a common designator
100 Names: No more than one copy of any given card title
Ritual of the Unnameable: All cards of a given deck must begin with one of three chosen letters, excluding numerals and punction. For example, if you pick HDN, all cards in the deck must begin with H, D, or N. The rule includes articles such as "a," "an," and "the." So this deck could use "Da Boys" and "100 Names" but not "The Discombobulator."
Whirlpool of Blood: Drafting sealed packs and building your tournament deck right there.
New Heroes: Only sets originally printed by Shadowfist Games. Currently only includes Shurikens and Six Guns and Critical Shift.
Who's the Big Man Now: The high-stress, high-stakes format of Shadowfist dueling!
Baptism of Fire: Sealed packs without drafting. Open and build!
Sibling Rivalry: All players must play with at least 23 cards of the same faction.

Good luck, everyone!
